The Kristianstad Area Genealogical Society

Do you have roots in this part of Sweden? At the end of the 19th century many Swedes emigrated to the United States to start a new life. Today many of the relatives of these people are searching for their roots in Sweden.

Some of the information we link to is in Swedish, but you might still find useful links to e.g. Swedish databases to search for your relatives in.

6GMembers databank Our Ancestors 6 generations

The society runs a databank called ”Our Ancestors 6 Generations”. Members send in their ancestors on a specific form. The information is then added to our databank and is sorted by birth parish. Most of the people in the databank have their birth parishes in the Kristianstad area. But we also register people from anywhere in Sweden, or even abroad.

Maybe your ancestry corresponds to those already in our files? Feel free to contact our organization! KSF.anor@telia.com

Example from Parish binder
